You can start celebrating British Science Week 2023 now!

British Science Week 2023 is fast approaching, kicking off 10-19 March.

But there’s no need to wait until then for the fun to begin, as we launch our British Science Week activity packs, designed to be run in education settings, now!

The activity packs, available to download free now, include all of the information and activities you found in the taster packs, and loads more activities based around ‘Connections’. This theme is brilliantly broad and includes a myriad of fantastic activities, from experiments for all ages looking at the connections between animals and their habitats, to hands-on projects including building a barometer and research-based activities like the journey our food takes from farm to fork and how we can connect with each other through debate.

The packs cover all age groups; Early Years (under 5s), Primary for ages 5-11 and  Secondary for 11-14.The packs includes British Science Week information, advice and tips, and of course activities, which can be carried out in a number of settings such as nurseries, schools and at home.

All the packs also include our poster competition! The competition is open to children and young people aged up to 14, and prizes are awarded in four different age categories so all entrants have a chance of winning. The theme of the poster competition is also ‘Connections’, and if you’re looking for ideas, we’ve marked activities that could provide inspiration with a paintbrush symbol.

We’d love to hear all about you having fun with the packs! Get in touch via Twitter and Facebook, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #BSW23.

The packs were created with the support of our brilliant sponsors; find out more about them here: Our partners.
