This year, British Science Week looks set to be bigger and better than ever – and we are delighted to have an impressive range sponsors and partners involved.
3M are a major sponsor of the Week – they are supporting a range of activities as well as running their own events to inspire women and girls into STEM.
The Gatsby Charitable Foundation are supporting both Demo Day and our new Technicians Make it Happen photo challenge, plus support from The Horners’ Company has enabled us, for the first time, to create resources to support Primary schools running Demo Day.
Merlin Entertainments, whose venues Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle and Chessington World of Adventures are putting on ‘behind the scenes’ events for students, and who are providing some free tickets as prizes.
We also have a number of other partners providing brilliant prizes. These include Smyths Toys (who are sponsoring the poster competition), Puffin (a Penguin UK imprint) for the special George’s Marvellous Experiments book and Chillistick (offering dry ice schools packs as an incentive to schools pledging their participation in Demo Day).
British Science Week is also funded by a grant from the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, who also provide our small grants funding for schools and community groups.
Thank you to each and every organisation for their support for British Science Week 2017!
