We’re happy to announce the winners of this year’s British Science Week poster competition!
For 2026 we teamed up with NUSTEM team at Northumbria University and the Government Office for Science for a special competition exploring what children and young people think will make a ‘good’/’positive’ childhood in the future.
The competition was open from children aged 3 all the way up students aged 19, with six age categories for young people to enter.
The entries highlighted the fantastic ideas, wonderful imaginations and thoughtful visions of the future of over 1,500 burgeoning young creatives from all across the UK.
We have one winner and one runner up for the Early Years and Infant categories, and one winner and two runners up for the Junior, Senior 1 categories, and one winner and two runners up for the Senior 2 and 3 categories combined.
There’s also winner from our popular vote, hosted on our Facebook page.

The winner of this year’s popular vote, which received the most ‘likes’ of all the runners-up on our Facebook page, was this brilliant poster by Ruhani of Wootton Upper School.

Running from 5-14 March, this ten-day celebration will be a chance for everyone to explore and interact with science in all its marvellous forms.
