What’s that coming over the hill? It’s British Science Week 2024!
Next year’s British Science Week is an extra special one – it marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Week way back in 1994! (Hands up if that doesn’t feel like 30 years ago.)
The Week proper might not be until 8-17 March 2024, but you can start preparing and celebrating today, as we have an exciting announcement: we just published our free education taster packs!
We offer an Early Years pack, Primary pack and Secondary pack, spanning children and young people from under 5s to around 14. These resources give you a preview of our full activity packs which launch in January 2024, and can help you start planning your events and activities.
Each taster pack, created with the support of UK Research and Innovation, includes two sneak-peek activities which will feature in the full packs, and loads of useful information including how to get parents and other volunteers involved, where to source free scrap material and more.
The theme for 2024’s packs and poster competition, to fit the 30th anniversary celebration, is ‘Time’, and the packs also give tips and ideas on how to introduce this theme to your pupils.
