British Science Week 2027 is coming!
Start getting ready for British Science Week, 5-14 March 2027, with our taster resource pack, available to download free now!
The theme for 2027’s resource packs is ‘Creativity: the power of ideas’, and the taster pack provides fun and engaging ways to introduce this theme to children and young people. The activities cover all sorts of areas of STEM, and showcase how being creative is a key skill that any scientist, researcher, innovator or engineer needs.
The packs are funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and include activities for children and young people aged under 5 to around 14.
There’s lots of information on applying for funding for events and activities during British Science Week and throughout the school year. We’ve introduced new funding options to support primary and secondary schools to give their learners opportunities to connect and engage with research and innovation.
The pack also contains inspiring stories of role models from our Smashing Stereotypes campaign and suggestions for including CREST challenges in your British Science Week celebrations. Running activities over a few days and then presenting participants with their CREST Awards certificates at an assembly at the end of the Week could be a great way to round off the festivities.
