A huge thank you to our supporters and partners.

Thank you to our British Science Week 2022 partners

British Science Week is an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths that features a range of fascinating, entertaining and engaging national, regional and local events across the UK.  The campaign provides a platform to stimulate and support teachers, STEM professionals, science communicators and the general public to produce and participate in STEM events and activities across the UK.

Last year, over 500,000 participants took place in events and activities across the UK – from local community events to our national citizen science partnership. We also generate a large volume of media coverage and extensive social media reach.

Thanks to the following partners and supporters, who were involved in British Science Week 2022.

Principal Partners

UKRI logoBritish Science Week 2022 is supported by UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), which is the agency that brings together the seven Research Councils, Innovate UK and Research England. Funding from UKRI enables the BSA to deliver the core British Science Week activity; large grassroots campaign that aims to reach a diverse range of audiences, including those from disadvantaged communities and people who would not usually engage in science.
3M logoAs a Principal Partner of British Science Week 2022, 3M is publicising its varied resources to support STEM diversity, equity and inclusion. Their support is essential to the success of the Smashing Stereotypes campaign. The campaign features, among others, 3M employees and teams, sharing stories about their day-to-day work, highlighting the importance of diversity in the STEM workforce and demonstrating that scientists are just like everyone else. Its overall aim is to inspire the next generation of creative minds from all backgrounds. 3M also provides support in other vital areas of British Science Week, including the Activity Packs and the Poster competition.

MSD logoMerck Sharpe & Dohme (MSD) is supporting British Science Week by becoming a Smashing Stereotypes Campaign Partner in 2022. We are grateful for their support, as they will be helping us challenge societal stereotypes about science and scientists, and highlight the diverse range of careers and individuals in the science workforce .
Thales logoThales are supporting British Science Week as a Smashing Stereotypes Partner in 2022. As a global technology leader, Thales will be supporting the Smashing Stereotypes campaign by championing their own employees as case studies. We are grateful for their support towards celebrating the diversity of the STEM workforce.
