Get a digital badge when you take part in British Science Week!

 

Our new British Science Week (BSW2016) Digital Badges are now LIVE on www.makewav.es/britishscienceweek

Digital badges are a fresh way to encourage and recognise students’ achievements, and we are really excited to be piloting them this year. Varying levels of participation in British Science Week are recognised, from participating/watching a demo or show, to doing multiple activities or challenges and we even have a special ‘arts collaborator’ badge to celebrate cross-curricular work.

Students can be registered and receive badges for free. They can then progress through the levels or find other free badges on the site, which can encourage deeper learning.

Makewav.es has been set up as a safe online space for students to do open badges, so educators can feel confident in using the badges, and we are really pleased to be working with them.

Step 3: Your pupils join your school’s Makewaves site to safely earn the British Science Week badge

Booking your free training call

If you’re registering for the first time, makewav.es will contact you to organise an optional 15 minute training call that can happen over telephone, Google Hangout or Skype.

The training will cover the basics of registering your students, sharing the British Science Week badges and posting content to Makewaves.
