The British Science Week 2026 taster pack is out now

British Science Week 2026 is coming!

Start getting ready for British Science Week,  6-15 March 2026, with our taster activity pack, available to download free now!

Following the success of last year’s bumper pack, in which we brought activities for early years, primary and secondary-aged audiences together, we’re doing the same this year – all the activities are in one place.

The pack, created with the support of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), includes activities for young people aged under 5 to around 14, and contains inspiring stories of role models from our Smashing Stereotypes campaign.

There’s also lots of information on applying for British Science Association’s Engage funding to cover the costs of running CREST Awards, and suggestions for including CREST activities in your activities for the Week. Running projects over a few days (most suited to primary – Star, SuperStar and Discovery – challenges) then presenting participants with their CREST certificates at an assembly at the end of the Week could be a great way to round off the celebrations.

The theme for 2026’s pack is ‘Curiosity: what’s your question?’, and the taster pack provides fun and engaging ways to introduce this theme to the children. The activities cover all sorts of areas of STEM, and provide questions and ideas to get young people thinking about what they’re most interested in.

The main activity packs will be released in January 2026.
